A time slip is when a person suddenly — and often without warning — perceives that they are experiencing a different time period.

Three Famous Time Slip Cases

1️⃣ The Bold Street Liverpool Time Slips (The “C&A Store” incident)

One of the best-documented modern time slip locations is Bold Street in Liverpool, UK.

In the 1990's, a retired police officer named Frank was shopping with his wife. He entered a store — only to suddenly find himself in a different version of the street, with 1950s cars and people in old-fashioned clothing.

He walked into what he thought was a bookstore — but inside it was a 1950s clothing store called C&A, a shop that had closed decades earlier.

When he left the store, the modern street returned — and the shop no longer existed.

Other time slips have been reported on Bold Street — making it a known hotspot.

2️⃣ Royal Air Force Pilot Victor Goddard

In 1935, RAF pilot Sir Victor Goddard flew over a then-derelict airfield at Drem, Scotland.

The abandoned airstrip was overgrown with grass.

But as he circled back, the scene suddenly changed:

✅ The grass was gone

✅ Mechanics were working on bright yellow planes

✅ New buildings appeared

When he landed and checked later, the yellow-painted planes (not yet in service in 1935) became standard issue years later — matching what he had seen.

A respected military man, Goddard’s account remains one of the most credible time slip reports.

3️⃣ The Versailles Time Slip (The Moberly–Jourdain Incident)

In 1901, two English academics — Charlotte Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain — visited Versailles, France.

While walking the Petit Trianon gardens, they both experienced:

✅ The gardens as they looked in the late 1700s

✅ Seeing people in 18th-century clothing

✅ A strange atmosphere — like walking through a dream

Later research showed their descriptions matched the time of Marie Antoinette — down to small historical details unknown to them at the time.

Their experience became famous — a classic high-credibility time slip case.

Conclusion
